Wow - it has been a very busy few weeks. Maybe that's why I enjoyed Memorial Day so much - It was a laid back day that I got to spend with my family. We needed that!We started the day with a Stake Breakfast and then headed out to visit some grave sites. Don's grandparents are all buried on the east side of the valley, so we headed over there to take some flowers and clean up the headstones. The weather was beautiful and Don got to share some stories of Grandma Margaret, Grandpa Vernon, Grandma Cherry, and Grandpa Don.
Last year we went to the zoo, so we thought we'd make it a tradition. Once we drove up and saw more people there then I've ever seen before we changed plans and headed home for a relaxing afternoon.
That evening we had our good friends, the Webbs and Powells, over for a bbq. The weather was perfect, the food was great, the kids all got along, and we had a great time. It was hard to return to "real life" on Tuesday.
