Congrats Sydni!

Sydni has been very busy the last week. She finished up her play, "The Music Man," last week and did a great job. Then on Monday she auditioned for the dance team at the Junior High and made it. We are very excited for her! She is such a talented girl.

Eight Hours In Line

I now have a new answer if somebody ever asks me, "What is the craziest thing you've ever done?" Last Saturday I decided to audition for "Deal or No Deal." I figured that I'd be waiting for a few hours, but I had no idea just how long... But I met alot of nice people and had fun anyway - and I made it to the final round of the audition process! So if I make it on the show, the sunburn and dehydration will be worth it...

Smarty Pants

Maddy was in the 2nd Grade Geography Bee today. She has been studying very hard and it paid off. She came in third place, although she claims that since the first two people tied she was really in second place. We are very proud of her!

Stinky Feet

Today I had the opportunity to help with our elementary school's Presidential Fitness Testing. I was asked to oversee the "Sit and Reach" which entails the kids placing their feet against a board and stretching forward as far as possible. To get a better number, many of the kids took their shoes off... you get the idea... I'm going back tomorrow to finish off - would it be too obvious if I took a bandana to tie around my nose?
